Top 5 Auction Scammers April
18th April 2011
Ebay claim that when an auction
has finished a seller is allowed to
decide whether to send an item to
the buyer. Rebecca Chadwick from
the Ebay Office in Manila,
Phillipines said “We cannot force
the seller to send the item”. When
asked what Ebay will do about the
issue she said “It’s not our
problem, it’s between you and the
seller.” So according to Ebay, a
sale on their site is no longer a
binding contract. They will let you
decide if you have made enough
money first!!!!

Welcome to Auction Scams
Auction Scams is a website and forum set up for
everyone who uses online auctions and marketplaces.
It’s your chance to name and shame those who spoil it
for others by ripping us off.
Have you been a victim of and auction scam or a
marketplace scam? Let us know by telling us about
it on our forum. Every week we will look through
the forums and update the Top Scams and the
Name & Shame pages.
The aim of this site is to rid the online auctions of
scammers once and for all. By naming and shaming
those users who are there just to rip us of we can
build a searchable database for honest users to
make sure they don’t become victims.
Maybe just Maybe the Auction Sites will LISTEN!!
